Business and the Season of GivingOne of the wonderful aspects of the holiday CSR in the New World - A Tale of Two CitiesDubai and Baku are two cities that have grown rapidly over the past two to three years, thanks to riches associated with oil. Both are in economies that have grown by around 15% to 20% a year in real terms (United Arab Emirates and Azerbaijan). It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of modern life, but each December we are reminded that some things are more important than the next corporate earnings statement or the must-have product. This is a time for lifting up those less fortunate--a time to remember the importance of service.
