Internship Opportunities

The U.S. Chamber is proud to offer internship opportunities for college students during the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters.
 
At the Chamber, you can obtain hands-on experience in a variety of departments.  Internships offer responsibilities such as research, writing, database management, web page maintenance, communications, and event preparation.  During the internship, you will be able to network with colleagues and demonstrate your skills and abilities.  You will also have the opportunity to attend our “Your First Steps to Success” workshop to enhance your resume writing, cover letter writing and interviewing skills.  
 
Who Qualifies
 
College students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at the junior or senior level, a graduate program or a Washington, D.C., Internship Program qualify. 
 
Qualifying students must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer research skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; be a self starter; and have strong organizational and time management skills.

When to Apply
 
In order for department Internship Coordinators to have sufficient time to select interns, we suggest that you send in your application materials no later than:
 
Winter/Spring semester:   December 20
Summer semester:            April 20
Fall semester:                     June 20
 
Interns are selected on a semester by semester basis.  Please do not send your application materials earlier than one semester prior to when you are interested in interning.
