ICW Events

January 7: Rosemary Lahasky will conduct a workshop on Workforce Development at the U.S. Chamber's Winter Institute for chamber and association executives in Tucson, AZ.

January 14: Join ICW for its monthly conference call from 1:00 - 2:00 pm ET.

January 14: Karen Elzey will participate in a panel discussion, Charter Schools in the Real World, at the Nevada Policy Research Institute Policy Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada.

January 28-29: Lydia Logan and Karen Elzey will participate in the 2009 convening of the Learning Beyond the Classroom Grantees of the C.S. Mott Foundation in Clearwater, Florida.

January 30: Karen Elzey will moderate a panel, Corporate Best Practices, at the 2009  National Association for Alternative Certification annual conference in San Antonio, Texas.

February 26: Karen Elzey will participate in a panel on middle-skill jobs sponsored by The Brookings Center on Children and Families with support from The Joyce Foundation. The event will draw attention to important issues in preparing workers for middle-skill jobs and in examining federal and state workforce policy to facilitate worker preparation for these jobs.
